Berjan was born in Groningen, The Netherlands, and I obtained
my BSc in chemistry at the University of Groningen in 2022. My BSc thesis was under Prof. Dr. Ben L. Feringa on the photoclick reaction of 9,10-phenanthrenequinone with electron-rich alkenes. Moreover, I did a project for the Honours College under supervision of Prof. Dr. Syuzanna
Harutyunyan on the enantioselective synthesis of substituted tetrahydropyridines via nucleophilic dearomatization of pyridines. I became interested in photometallaredox catalysis due to the course on photochemistry and photoredox catalysis. In my free time I enjoy reading books, playing games
and cooking.
