Ning was born in Shanxi, China and obtained her BSc in chemical engineering in 2018. Afterwards, she received her MSc in chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. S. Harutyunyan about “small molecular cross-catalytic system”. Subsequently, during a short-term internship under the supervision of Prof. Dr. T. Kudernac at Groningen University, working on “protein self-assembly”, she became interested in photochemistry and decided to continue in chemical research. In August 2021, Ning joined the Beil group and is currently working on photoredox catalysis to synthesis amino acids. In her free time, she enjoys having coffee and beer, playing badminton and basketball, watching Nolan’s movies, and travelling.
