
Tim, born in Rendsburg, Germany in 2000, completed his B.Sc. in Chemistry at Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel in 2021, where he wrote his thesis in the Herges group. During his master’s program, he gained hands-on experience as a student assistant and completed a research internship at the Garcia Lab in Münster. He conducted his master’s thesis in the van Gemmeren Group, focusing on C-H activation. After graduation, Tim spent six months working on renewable resources at BASF before embarking on his PhD journey in the Beil Lab. Outside the lab, he enjoys staying active through rowing, working out at the gym, and exploring the outdoors.
